Problem Statement

There is a shortage of qualified Early Intervention (EI) practitioners and the long wait times for services in early intervention centres.

This delays assessment and intervention, hindering the development of many children with disabilities during their foundational years.

Solution

The Early Intervention Digital Toolbox is a structured digital home programme that supports the holistic development of children and enhance their skills across various developmental domains. It also educates and empowers caregivers to assist their children’s improvement at home during this critical period.

The Early Intervention Digital Toolbox includes:

• Assessment Toolbox: Screens children in the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children domains and provide caregivers with analysis to understand their child’s specific difficulties

• Intervention Programme: Develop goals and milestones based on assessment results, generating an individualised therapy plan for home intervention.

• Review System: Prompt caregivers every six months to follow up on the child’s progress, repeat the assessment and update the home programme. If the child enters early intervention centres, a handover report is generated, and the child will be discharged from the programme.
